The group will be building a much-needed new two-classroom school building. Frank used this expression to talk about how we would all be working together to make the new school building a reality, and he showed us a small, empty bottle. He asked each student, teacher, parent, group member, Bridges to Community staff member, to put their "grain of sand" into the bottle as a symbol of our shared goal. Frank was then asked to dig the first shovel-full of dirt for the official inauguration of the project. He insisted that Don Miguel, the community's leader, assist him in the task.
